New poems: Sushant Thapa

Point of Departure

Like open doors

Affectionate walls

Are hung with love canvases.

A sentiment becomes a poem,

Without knowing love

Grows like tulips

On the wallpaper of ages.

This heart is old,

Yet, it is new

To feelings.

A glance or a sight

Serves better in delight.

What it hides

Is what lives inside.

Expressing love

Is a test of endurance,

Is this true or false?

A winner is loved,

A game is just the point of departure

To the inner realm of love.

Sea of Love

When the page is turned

When words have

Rooted their presence

And touched you

Like the first breeze of spring

I would have lived,

I would have re-lived

What I forgot to live.

Let us walk,

Let us dive,

Let us reach

Like the returning waves.

Like the changing seasons

Of time to forever.

My holiday days were vast

Like the seven seas.

I kept waiting like a stone

To roll,

To tumble,

To fall

Into the sea of love.

You

Above and beside

Without and within

The heart beats

With every closeness.

The grasses are greener

When every walk together

Is a blessing.

Life kept on tearing hopes,

Every light went dim

And every closeness

Seemed far.

Wake up under billion stars

Blanketed with the night.

A close look,

Sermons from the book

All reveal you,

All see you.
